From time to time, Steven Minnaar accepts a limited number of portrait commissions.

A commissioned portrait celebrates one particular individual—preserving not only a likeness, but the dignity, character, and presence that make one life unlike any other.
Each commission begins with someone whose life, beauty, memory, or character deserves to be honored. From there, Steven creates a one-of-one original work of art designed to become part of a family's story for generations to come.
Portrait commissions are available as a Treasury Drawing, a Lady Minnaar original painting, or a Secret Minnaar—a one-of-one original miniature painting permanently housed within a mechanical wristwatch.
Every portrait is personally created by Steven Minnaar as part of the Minnaar Treasury—an enduring artistic institution dedicated to celebrating the Sovereign Individual.
Commissioned Treasury Drawings carry a minimum denomination of 1 oz Silver, while Lady Minnaar and Secret Minnaar commissions carry a minimum denomination of 3 oz Gold. Collectors may choose a higher gold or silver denomination if they wish, allowing the portrait to hold greater significance within their family's Minnaar Treasury while providing additional flexibility for future voluntary exchange within the Treasury.
Every commissioned portrait is individually signed, accompanied by its Certificate of Authenticity, and permanently recorded within the Minnaar Treasury Catalogue Raisonné as part of the artist's lifetime body of original works.
Every portrait is also issued as Minnaar Money through its permanent gold or silver denomination, relating it to every other Minnaar within the Treasury through a common system of stewardship and voluntary exchange.
Each work stands on its own, yet exists in relationship to the whole.
